“The Gospel Nutshell” by Jeffrey Miller
Scripture Reading:Hebrews 4:14-5:10
I would like for you to think of how each of these questions makes you to feel, as you answer them for yourselves.
*Have you been tempted to do something wrong this week?
*Do you believe that you made a positive influence or difference in someone’s life this month?
*Have you felt misunderstood over the last seven days?
*In the last 24hours, have you felt that you really needed to talk to someone but could not find anyone to listen?
*Do you believe that someone was happy to see you today?
*have you ever tried to help someone just to have the offer refused?
*have you had reason to celebrate over the last 30 days?
How did you feel while answering these questions? As human beings, we have each experienced pain, joy, loss, frustration, and hope. We can also rest assured because Jesus came to this earth, as God in the flesh, and lived just as we live. He is sympathetic with us and the temptations that we face because He faced them Himself, without fault. He understands our joys and sorrows! Not only that, He is ALWAYS available so we are NEVER alone! Christian, always remember that because of who you are in Jesus, you need not walk discouraged with your head down but can, at any time, go “boldly unto the throne of grace” (v.16).
